One of the best smash and grabs I've ever seen.
Anyway.
Perhaps it's just coincidence? Or is it?
City 1-0 up Cardiff and cruising. Substitutions. The rest is History.
City 2-1 up at Villa and cruising. Substitutions. The rest is History.
One more thing. Why when there's a free kick dead centre of the goal, don't Managers put 1 player on the goal line alongside the Keeper? It's going to go in either corner. If the attacking team want to swap the 6 yard box, it will only make it harder for the free kick taker to score, due to the amout of players in the way. Just a thought.
Or deflects of someone into the goal
Obvious!
I did state as much.
It's a choice. Give the player taking the free kick a clear shot at goal( Yaya(3) Rooney(3), and Bacuna(1) ), or make it difficult for the player, while in the process taking a risk of a goal via a deflection.(with x amount of players standing in the 6 years box)
Obviously the clear shot on goal is still the preferred option for defending teams. ;-)
