Yes that's very weird. Stoke beaten by Norwich today at Stoke (we drew), Cardiff failed to win their next two home games after beating us and yesterday we handed Villa their first home victory after they had lost at home to Geordies and Dippers. Still glad you remain 'remarkably sanguine'. We should have got nine points from these games ( minimum seven).
Correct, we should have but we didn't. The world turns, life goes on and we're only 3 points off top spot with a shit load of the season left. Like I say, the good stuff I've seen leaves me still feeling more positive on the whole than pessimistic for the season. Plenty of sides will cop a battering off us.
Don't agree but then it is all about opinions. By the way we're five points off the top.
Yep, apologies, not looked at the table properly. And I do agree there are a number of things Pellegrini needs to work on and get right; I'm just not worried right now. If we are not in the top 4 by then end of December (preferably top 2!) then I'll get a panic on.

Beat Everton next week and thus ends the bullshit!!

No, thats when we'll get more triumphalist "thats why we were outers" bullshit, until the next loss when we'll get more "Mancini should have stayed bullshit" until the next win ....

Does this forum work in any other way ?? just saying what I know will happen..

win and we are the best,lose and we are c u n t s. ;)

We are still better than every team occupying a place ahead of us. Spurs Arsenal and Chelsea will drop more than 6 points over the next few weeks. Every team is vulnerable this season. Southampton really? I still have faith.

Some talking points.

F*** me, the Linesman even had the grass cutting lines to help him.

Was Hart too far over to his left hand side?

The ball is just in shot.

Sunday league defending.

As you can see, neither Kompany or Nastasic make an attempt to head the ball. Both are also caught either side of Weimann who is running through.(he's seen the ball coming and he's off)

Kompany then let's the ball bounce in front of him and past him instead of heading it, while Nastasic doesn't react to Weimann.

The goals are here. The Arabic Commentator is a nutter. Especially after Yaya scored the first. ;-)

Went Yesterday.

One of the best smash and grabs I've ever seen.

Anyway.

Perhaps it's just coincidence? Or is it?

City 1-0 up Cardiff and cruising. Substitutions. The rest is History.
City 2-1 up at Villa and cruising. Substitutions. The rest is History.

One more thing. Why when there's a free kick dead centre of the goal, don't Managers put 1 player on the goal line alongside the Keeper? It's going to go in either corner. If the attacking team want to swap the 6 yard box, it will only make it harder for the free kick taker to score, due to the amout of players in the way. Just a thought.

Or deflects of someone into the goal
because if you do that you allow opposition players closer to the goal as they are played onside - not good!

They had 33% possession and 3 chances. They scored all 3. On another day we'd win that game how we played 9 out of 10. OK Nasty didn't cover himself in glory but he's young and will learn off Vinny. The week before we thrashed the rags with probably the best premier league performance for the first hour by any team in the last 5 years. We'll come good and be there or thereabouts come May. Just 1 point from 9 away is frustrating and not good enough, but we'll learn from it and be better for it for the rest of the season. Have faith. CTID.

Some good pics above by jrb.

The offside is slightly exagerrated because the ball has travelled a bit.He wasn't that far advanced beyond the last man when the pass was made but he was still offside. And yes Joe's positioning is poor.

4-5-1 with Nasri behind Negredo, ala 2nd half against Bayern pre-season.

Looks very fluid, hardly any top sides play 2 up top.

Negredo against Bayern?ur joking.
He didnt score against man u,didnt score against wigan didnt score against vila.
how do u justify him in a starting line up against Bayern?
Dzeko and Jovetic up front (if aguero not fit)
Negredo worked so that we managed to score four against the rags- he holds up , passes when needed and the fact he does not score is irrelevant
so long as anyone scores that is all that matters-he will be important come Wednesday as Aguero will need his physical presence and he can work his magic.

Only problem is, in 9 out of 10 away games like these we seem to drop points despite dominating possession and having more chances! It's Groundhog Day on drugs. We're averaging the same amount of points as Fulham on the road this year... this issue goes back to last season and even the title winning season... ever since West Brom away (Boxing Day 2011) we've been very hit-and-miss away from home.

Negredo had two assists against the Rags.
