Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

Ffs ive said three times that I think pellers had a bad day. Just don't agree with the tools on here that are calling him a **** and saying sack him. Not saying you did, you just got caught up in my angry five mins of replying to the ones that did
I did call him a ****, and i still believe we will never achieve our potential with him as manager. The only way i want him sacked is if pep comes in. But i'd rather he fuckin learnt from his mistakes and became a better manager than just a stubborn fucker like he is

For someone so obsessed with 4-4-2 to play nearly a whole match without a striker against bottom of the league beggers belief!!

I pay my money to see at least some effert Yaya was totally crap and there's was more movement in a bowl movement. I have supported City for 62 years and been a season Ticket holder for the last 40, I think I'm entitled to my opinin.
You are entitled to your opinion.

why set up with two defensive midfielders against one of the worst teams in the league?
why Navas for Bony leaving us with no striker?
why wait 80 minutes when nothing was happening?
why Delph for Toure when we needed players that can score?
why did it take 84 minutes before bringing a striker on?

he has to go if Guardiola is available

All very valid questions...

42 and your acting like a spoilt fucker cryin about the manager cause we missed a few chances, fucking hell, 42???? im on season 34 btw.

A spoiled fucker? Why are you making this personal? I know how football goes all too well.

I was at St. Andrews when we scored in the 88th minute to go 1-0 up and somehow lost the game 2-1. That was also incredibly frustrating. It's allowed.

I have a different opinion to you. Deal with it or log off.

How is he right? Happy with the way we played?

Let me point out how we set up. We started the game with 2 DMs and Yaya playing boxtobox. Only problem with that is that Yaya's legs are gone and he can't play box to box, which means we played with 3 defensive midfielders for the entirety of the first half.
Our striker went off after 25 minutes injured and instead of bringing on our other striker, we pushed our creative player up top and telling him to run the line and work the channels when we had no midfield to link the play with him and by pushing our creative player up top it left us with no creativity.
Yep he changed it around in the second half, but by then his first half tactics had given Villa the belief they could get something out of the game.
Bringing on Delph and getting the home crowd up and even more behind their players gave Villa the second wind they needed, but to bring on a striker with 7 minutes of a game left, when his youth and effort would've lifted the whole team in the first half, well there is really no reason for that.

Liverpool lost the title we didn't win it, and this is probably a weaker Premiership than that season was and with a better squad than we had 2 seasons ago it looks like we are going to make this an even more difficult attempt at winning the title.

We were as bad as Chelsea were yesterday and that is all down to our manager and the decisions he makes. We got away with it against Norwich, but we weren't so lucky today.

Great performances by Otamendi and Kolarov, along with the other 2 in defence, but apart from that I'm finding it hard to pull anymore positives.

Also, Sterling didn't play badly, but he needs more freedom. Sticking him on the left is killing his game, he cuts in everytime and its all he does. With freedom he would be a far more dangerous player, as he was when he played in behind Bony and got that Hat trick. KDB's best performances have been on the left yet we set up with Sterling on the left and KDB on the right.

Should he be happy with the way we played? Should he fuck
We hit the crossbar I the 92nd minute. If that went in none of you would be moaning

Sterling looked dangerous the first half we were getting the ball to him every time and he was constantly causing havoc.

Forgive some for showing some passion! Are we not allowed to get pissed off at performances when you sacrifice so much of your life supporting the club?

We're all pissed off with the result but the more mature football supporter does not immediately resort to slagging off the manager & players - when we are top of the 2 most important leagues in the world. So - yes - be angry but in the right way.

It's results like that which will mean the season goes to the wire as is usual when we win it. However we should be winning this league with ease. Anyone really think Arsenal have a better defence? Anyone think United have half the creativity?

As to the game. Navas played well. He might waste crosses but his mere presence on the pitch cause opponents problems. My main gripe is Kolarov. His inability to do anything with his right foot slows down so many attacks.

As for the subs I was pleased, injury aside, that Bony came off. He was not at the races today. But why not give Kelechi 60 minutes. He is a much better finisher than Raheem.

The defence was solid. Fernando looks immense and is getting forward as well as stifling the opposition.

Villa played better than any team at the bottom has any right too. The new manager had them organized well. But at the end of the day 2 points dropped.

Cry us a river...shit happens

Well shame on you then. Tut tut

They lost those games with a shit rookie manager in charge, things changed Today, Villa played for the new guy
Losing 7 games in a row it doesn't matter who your manager is you don't turn it around that soon against the leagues top team. We have them that draw they did nothing to earn it.

Yet again looked a better team with navas on pitch but let's have a pop at our new scapegoat rather than get behind the team .

What like van turtle? It's not as easy as that as you should know. Unless yr a red top journo

Might I remind you that that FUCKING DIRE united side are TWO points behind us. Two.

In a combined City United 11, I wouldn't pick one of their players, not one. And they are TWO points behind us. We should be fucking embarrassed.

I've moved on pal so i'll leave you to your flapping. I may bump this when we win the league in may though.

Some fans have such low standards. We have the potential, the target, to be the top team in the world. Managerial performances like that are unacceptable and should be called out as such.

Exactly this. As if it's not bad enough seeing us struggle against an absolutely awful bottom-of-the-league team, I come on hear to see people posting as if they're some kind of Zen Buddhist who gets riled by nothing.

For a team with our ambitions (and yes, even one that's come from where we have) we cannot surely be unmoved by a 0-0 draw with bottom of the league. Doubly so, considering our performance mid-week.
