Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

You weren't alone, no matter what the Villa player did, it was still idiotic, and had it cost us a goal, I'd have happily slated him for it, it annoyed me that he was waiting for the corner with a stupid grin like a little kid who'd nicked the last biscuit, just as well nothing came from it.
He should have been booked for that. Ungentlemanly conduct. Thought he was, but match reports didn't mention it

The Villa player ? Why should he have been booked ? he threw the ball towards Hart who f**ked up, Hart should have just gone behind the line, picked the ball up, and got on with a quick goal kick, instead tried to control it, and gifted them a goal scoring opportunity, idiotic in my view.

Just hope we get karma in the home game, that **** goes down injured, them all asking we put the ball out, fuck that, we go attack and score the winner

Getting a goal kick isn't possession back, the villa cheat wanted to benefit from the 'head injury' which was likely just to wast time. Lesson learned, if the opposition want the ball kicking out aim for their corner flag.

That was a banana skin game and we didn't get beat. But we were so wasteful with the opportunities we got.

I had a bit of a meltdown when Joe did that stupid thing near the end of the game. Why didn't he just let the ball go out for a goal kick.
A bit of urgency maybe to keep the momentum. I think Joe put the ball out from open play when insomnia was injured, so why should he then settle for a goal kick? That pineapple headed **** knew exactly what he was doing as he ran towards Joe after throwing it back and only the fact that he's so shit, he might have scored from the corner, cunts.

Shouldn't of been booked, but it was very unsportsmanlike behaviour, we had the ball, put it out and he deliberately made it awkward for us when he should of given us simple/easy possession back

You're going to get games whereby you don't win. And all our supposed tactical know all as supporters (of which amounts to conjecture, hindsight and often cock-all) usually reinforces the reason none of us are good enough to even manage a half decent football team, never mind the quality of players that most teams possess in the PL. Sometimes you're gonna have to take a point rather than three and move on. The way certain people get on their high horses about who should have been played or subbed etc. really pisses me off at times.

I know it's only comments and moire often than not hindsight, but it comes out from certain people on such a regular basis, that my only suggestion can be 'get out of the job that you weren't really meant to be doing and earn plenty of money and accolade at what you think you're so good at'. Why the fuck are you still doing the wrong job, when you're clearly more suited to mange my club? Perhaps you're wasting you're talent.

Something tells me I'm not gonna hear too many success stories about this. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong.

A referee with even half a brain would have given it as a foul throw, given that both his feet were on the pitch and he let go of the ball from in front of his head (only the 3 reasons it was a foul throw tbf). To deliberately throw it awkwardly and then charge him down when he is supposed to be just giving the ball back is a cunts trick and I think everyone knows it. It's pretty much the only fair play line that no one crosses, I'm pretty sure I remember a cup tie being replayed because of Arsenal doing that.

Out of interest, was there ever an explanation as to why on earth we had that attack stopped where the linesman seemed to give Sterling offside from a throw in, then pretended it was a foul throw to try and cover his fuck up?

Nope, miles off. I wasn't far from that throw, It was a petulant unsporting effort which was spotted by most people that were near. Even the villa lads were smirking.
