Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

Give over. I was in the upper tier and saw it clearly. As I said, it looked deliberate at first but when I saw it on TV I could see Hart move towards the ball. And I think that Hart is a very good keeper who has had some great games for us but has too many mental lapses to be a truly great keeper. I don't see anything wrong in saying that. The near-deification of Hart in some quarters is overdone. He's 17 months off turning 30 and shouldn't be having those lapses.
Nope. Not having that. I'll agree to differ, I didn't need to re-watch it on TV, couldn't have had a better view, and I was with the Villa lot (though not out of choice), You trust your HD though pal. Still think you wait for your 'Joe' moments tho :-)

You see, I don't fawn over our keeper. Deifecation doesn't come from me, that's bollocks talk, but I also don't castigate. We have had a pretty flawed defence for quite some time, and don't try and tell me that we've have such a good record of 'goals against purely' because of our un-shakeable defence. To do that you've got to be able to come up with some pretty fluid reasons as to why that is. Whether you like it or not, there is something fundamental about our 'goals against' record in the post-takeover period, and yes, our goalkeeper happens to play quite a huge part in that.

Yes, of course he has his flaws, but he is also a big part of why we've got that very good 'goals-against' record. So, I'm happier to accept deifecation with a few flaws rather than castigation without foundation.

Joe didn't let it run out of play because we were trying to win the game. Gestede threw the ball in the manner he did because Villa were trying to not lose the game.

Agreed, Gestede threw the ball in far harder than he should have to just be returning the ball, Hart was expecting to receive the ball, if Gestede wanted to throw it out of play why wait for Hart and then it throw straight at him? It was a cunts trick and he followed it up by chasing after the ball.

Perhaps you should watch it on TV because on my HD TV I saw Gestede throw the ball then Hart move to intercept it. It wasn't the cleverest action by the Villa player I'll grant you but he wasn't throwing it at Hart.

You seem to be suggesting I have a vendetta against Hart but I've praised him when he's had a good game plenty of times. I've also criticised aspects of his game like distribution and decision making. Against Sevilla, he nearly managed to fuck it up by making stupid decisions in the last couple of minutes. If he hasn't learnt by now then he's never going to learn that extra 5% that would make him a great keeper.

It was a cunts trick! I called him a 'fucking ****' at least four times after he'd done it and the woman on the next table at the bar I was at in Ko Samui left straightaway saying I'd "ruined her night" with her pitiful and silent boyfriend trailing in her wake! She'd gone before I had the chance to apologise :-/

You calling someone a **** and ruining a night, doesnt sound like something you would do mate. Imagine if they had scored from the corner, you'd have ruined her life with the tirade of abuse you'd have been hurling.

I called my mate a cuntpuddle when we got back to his on Friday night, his wife had her mates around for dinner, we rocked in drunk and I dropped the cuntpuddle bomb, it went down like a warm cup of sick and we were ushered into the kitchen where we had to spend the rest of the evening.

The Villa player ? Why should he have been booked ? he threw the ball towards Hart who f**ked up, Hart should have just gone behind the line, picked the ball up, and got on with a quick goal kick, instead tried to control it, and gifted them a goal scoring opportunity, idiotic in my view.
I agree. It could and should have been all avoided. If you watch his right foot, he slips and thats what fucks it up, he lost control of the ball and his body position and it all went to shit. But it was all unnecessary anyway, the Villa minge was just having his moment and doing the sportsmanly thing in an unsportsmanly manner because the crowd were all wound up and giddy, so let him have his moment and be professional and go and restart the game.

Hopefully with a striker
And hopefully not with an ex Villa player who gets the over excited crowd even giddier in a game which didnt need him

LOL....

What I like most about watching City in the LOS is win or lose there is always a happy ending in sight ;-)
