Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

The opposition didn't have a shot on target and we created 4 properly clear cut chances. In fact, clear cut doesn't even do them justice, they were sitters. It was one element away from being the perfect away performance, but sometimes through bad luck (Sterling, Fernando) or poor finishing (De Bruyne, Sterling) the ball just won't go in. Just one of those days but the performance (2nd half especially) was excellent.

That's pretty much how I saw it too. But Bluemoon wouldn't be Bluemoon without 90+ pages of vitriol after we've failed to win a game.

How will we recover from this draw if we only see it as unlucky.
Players need to be true and see their failings yesterday. Or we run the risk of being beaten by the next team that look slightly organised. Poor midfield today.

Ok Chippy Boy (or should I say Drama Boy), plrease stop fecking whining. We didn't win today, but the lads turned up and tried. We're not gonna win every single game - no fecker does - but we turned up and 'tried' to win the game. The fact that you have the audacity to compare us with a team that doesn't even try to play football makes me sick to my teeth, and your idea of what is embarrassing seems to be to compare us with the way that the shite across the way play, and where they stand at this moment, with only a third of the games played. That simply tells me you should have a long hard look at the team you supposedly support, where we have come from, and where we are now! Take a long hard look, chippy boy.

Fecking rant over!!!!!

I have no idea what you're on about.

Yes we 'tried' to win the game, for 35 minutes at least. My beef is not this one game, and it's not really with the players although there are one or two who you could single out.

I just think when you look at the caliber of players we have right now, we could and should be further ahead of where we are right now. I think we have an average manager who isn't getting the best out of the team, from a development perspective (he's doing nothing to nurture our young talent) motivationally, tactically or any which way.

The people that say look where we have come from are right but doesn't hide the fact the performance at Villa was unacceptable.

From the first few minutes you could sense the outcome, the passing and decision making was poor, there was no pace to our play, and we allowed Villa to settle instead of getting at them and unsettling them.

By the time Mr. Blobby got the hook we were running out off time and the late flurry of effort didn't make up for the previous dross.

A school report would have read "Must do better".
