Villa Vs City Post Match Thread

Whilst that may be true, their record subsequent to an opening day win at Bournemouth read p.10, w 0, d 1, l 9. Today they managed just 3 attempts at goal (with zero on target) in 90 minutes. Their new manager has had the grand total of 5 days to work with them. Piss poor was just my lazy description of Villa, but even being more considered you'd be hard pushed to find a worse outfit in the Premier League at this moment in time. Whatever the circs though, that was 2 points pissed away today
Sherwood was winging it. Totally guessing. Hadn't picked our best players all season.

All it took was our better players in a starting XI and just going back to basics.

Don't worry, you'll walk the league.

He ran over to receive the ball, why didnt Gestede just throw it straight out, rather than wait for him and then wang it at him as hard as he could. Wasnt very sporting after we kicked the ball out so your play acting player could receive treatment.
Hart only had to move out the way. Not a very smart move. It was easier to move than try and control it. Goalkeepers are mad :D

Gestede was a disgrace, Villa fans should be embarrassed by his behavour

Not only that but as soon as he'd caught Joe unawares by hurling it at him, he started sprinting to close the City keeper down. Fucking prick. Really disappointed that Micah played along with it as well.

Mate, if we were down to the bare bone, Richards and Boyata would have played today. Kelechi is a natural goal scorer, that much is obvious but to not play him when we had no specialist striking was a very bad call in mine and most fans' opinions.
As said I would not have played navas before him either, but MP made the call and I can sort of understand why in hindsight despite us not scoring today, in the same predicament last season he could have played pozo or kelechi or any youth striker, and when he did play pozo was not fantastic (if I remember rightly city fans of the time were purring over him too just because he's a youth player) anyway MP put Milner up front for the next lot of games without a striker

Our expectations have changed from 10 years ago. Sorry to have confused you.
Oh didn't realise being top of the league and top of champions league group (and qualified) and quarters of league cup doesn't meet your or our expectations. You do know few weeks before our expected March to the fa cup starts so where is the negative. I'm with you, I expect to win every game and therefore if no quadruple then we've failed ;)
