They seemed to go from a decent team to a poor team in the couple of weeks between our games. Just shows how injuries can affect a team with a smallish squad.

A lesson in how quickly football can turn and bite you in the bum.

No they were shit before the game against us, struggling finacially and punching well above there weight for a long time. Time caught up and Rossi got injured

This -back to where they belong - Segunda B after next season!!

Very very lucky club - I expect huge price rises at Mercadona (Spains biggest supermarket chain) in reprisal
Fook the shitty yellow tossers

Has a team competing in the Champs league ever gone on to be relegated in the same season?

Celta de Vigo 2003-2004.

But I'm sure that Villarreal will return soon to primera, they will keep most of the players and add some players of "B" team(a mid table team in second diivision this season, dont' forget that Villareal has one of the best academys in Spain).

It seem that some players like Borja Valero, Zapata o Nilmar will be sold and their budget for the next season would be around 30€ millions.

The fans supports strongly the board. Villarreal president left the stadium one hour after the match finished and the fans were waiting to give him a big applause and an ovation.
How will they have 30€ millions to spend?

Yeah considering they are massively in debt its highly unlikely even with player sales

Madrid and Barcelona are in debt too, but it isn't a problem.
Villareal's debt is a long-term debt that helped them to grow as a club, to earn a higher income and build their academy.
Most of the debt have disappeared because the owner turned 120€ millions owed to him into equity(UEFA financial fair play regulations)
It's not a Leeds style debt. :D

The president has said today that the budget for the next season will be 25€ millions. It's includes everything(salaries, trips, academy, stadium, employees, Villareal B team, etc...). It's not 25 millions to spend in new players.

With the expected players leaving for their own ambitions of to clear their wages, would Dennis Suarez realistically get games there if he went on loan next season?

Maybe for Spain loans we're only looking at Espanyol though? I'd let them keep Weiss for free if the gave certain guarantees on starts for Suarez.

Okay that makese sense, 25 million for everything over a season. Going to be a long hard slog that
