Villareal relegated

This is why the champions league should be exactly that, for champions . I didn't agree we should be in it last year or spurs previously, it should be just for the champions.
Villareal can't have been any good but fluked a top 4 place.
I agree. Champions league should be for the champions only in a knock out tournament.

So you're advocating an even bigger cartel than we already have? United, Bayern, Milan and Barca (or Madrid) would have been untouchable in their domestic leagues since the CL's inception if all that money was split between a select few of them. i like the way it is now. We get teams like Napoli and Schalke who could cause upsets, and even Chelsea this year considering how we've been in the league.

In the second division there are a few reserve/youth teams or whatever from some of the big clubs...."Villarreal II" is one of them...how will that work exactly? Surely they can't play against each other...

They can but they cannot get promoted to La Liga.

Villarreal B were automatically relegated to Segunda División B the moment the main Villarreal team went down to Liga Adelante.

Thanks for that, I think they can still play them in the Copa del Rey though.

Have to agree with this. No need for the elitist clubs to be even more elitist, and lashing up all the money for themselves.

Think, the 2 finalists this year are not champions of their respective leagues...

So hang on, this is where it gets confusing, does another team get promoted from segunda B then?

Correct, Bayern finished 3rd, 10 points behind Dortmund.

This is why our English system is best, fuck having a City, Chelsea, Scum, Arsenal, Newcastle B teams in say League 2.

Another example of Spain not being "Fair Play", and then accuse us of destroying football. These clubs have B and C teams which makes them more money I'm guessing and therefore no loans are given to other regional teams...
