so are Bayern
Or give out more free chips ;)nashark said:dw7 said:Good idea thatnashark said:If Napoli are out of sight at half-time, we should look at resting players, especially Yaya.
I'm an ideas type of guy.
Here's another: if the game becomes meaningless and we do end up taking players off, fans will still want their money's worth even though the game's dead. That means one thing: put Balotelli in net to amuse us.
bayern blade said:We will certainly be putting out a weakened team v City. It seems Kroos, Robben, van Buyten, Ribery and Lahm will all be rested, and possibly either Müller or Gomez will also be given the day off according to the press.
Schweinsteiger is still out injured of course.
Bayern possible line up :
Neuer
Rafinha
Boateng
Badstuber
Contento
Gustavo
Timoschchuk
Müller (Petersen)
Alaba
Olic
Gomez (Petersen)
Seems Heynckes is taking this about as seriously as Wenger did tonight. You should win but obviously you need a result in Spain.

Seems about right. Rummenigge plays a weakened side and then if City win says "what do you expect - I played the b team".
Vs
He plays the full strength team and loses and has no excuses.

What do you expect ffs ?
We have won the group in style, the fixture is meaningless to us, we have a big game on Sunday.
You'd expect City to do exactly the same if you were through, do you think Wenger gives a shit about losing in Piraeus ? I hope we play the reserves tomorrow, a win would be nice but it doesn't matter in the scheme of things.
P.S. Rummenigge has nothing to do with team selection.
adrianr said:Well this is a turn. I'm sure after our defeat to Napoli you and your higher ups were saying how you wouldn't play a weakened team as you have the 5 year rating to think about, and that you want to win every game.
Shame really because no matter the side and no matter the result, Villereal right now have about as much chance of getting a result against Napoli as I have of getting any off the missus tonight.
