When Andelecht or indeed Belguim start paying his £200k pw or whatever they can have his primary loyalty.
This is an incredibly self-centred view. Can you quantify education and all the things your birth country give you? From the club's point of view it is probably the best if there were no Euros and international friendlies at all, but you have to respect the player's wish to be patriotic and play for his country at the Euros. May not be good for his long-term health, but paying him £200k pw does not mean we can strip him of such freedom of choice. What the club can do is to arrange for the best care in their power and wait to see if he can recover. Since we will be getting new centre-backs next season, he should have more time to manage his conditions.
