Vincent Kompany 2015/16 performances

true captain, true leader.
Even during the worst moments of the game you can look at him and keep faith in team.

He's come in and lead by example, calming presence at the back and has seemingly organized everybody else into shape. He's even raised Otamendi's game, who still has his rash moments don't get me wrong but this partnership can be solid in the long term providing Vinny stays fit.
 
I am probably wrong on this (I usually am) but he seems to be playing slightly differently since his return from injury. It might be him just easing himself back in but he seems to me like he is playing more regimented, holding his position better.
They say CB's hit their real prime between 28-32 and I think we are starting to see that with Kompany, maybe I am doing him a disservice, or its just the harsh reality of how disorganised we were without him, but to me he definitely looks like he has matured even more as a player. He has always had a slight element of rashness about him, but he seems like he knows his limitations now from any injury/fitness point of view. To come straight back in and perform to the level he has is testament to him, not many could do that.

Otamendi looks a completely different player alongside him too. Not often I agree with J. Redknapp but he is correct when he says if Kompany and Aguero were fit for the entire season, we'd be 10 points clear.
 
Great player and leader of the team. We just don't look the same without him. I hope the club retain his services in future years. A club needs as many professional like him around the place as possible.

All the love in the world but he is liability now and we can't rely on him anymore.
 
Feel really sorry for the lad. Worked his damndest to get back to play for the team but these injuries are incessant. Hopefully he'll miss the Euros and be back fighting fit next season, definitely worth giving it a try, he's a rock and a leader.
 
I wouldn't sell him yet this summer but time to plan stuff without him.
