90mins after 5 months out was stupid, pep dropped a bollock
No he didn't. He had to play the full 90 mins to see how he went. And he went, so we, unfortunately, have our answer.

He's not ready and may never be ready again.

Gutted, for him and everyone, but becoming resigned to it.

Lost for words, felt really bad for him, showed what kind of player he is tonight, but these stupid injuries. Hope he recovers soon,

For real?

Jeez, I give up on this place.

The guy gets paid circa £150k per week to be on that pitch for us. Just drop to the deck so we can at least reorganize.

Unfortunately it may not have been the first thing going through his mind, that we couldn't defend for 30 secs, with 4 defenders & a defensive mid on the pitch, if he felt a twinge & thought his career had just ended.

If we put some of those robots in the team though, they would probably be fine.

Exactly.

I adore the guy, love him to bits, and was overjoyed at how he looked tonight.

Hope it is not another serious injury, I suppose things will be clarified soon enough. He has to play soon enough and because of how sports works, the injury will occur if he is predisposed whether it is 90 minutes or 10 minutes.

Dump is all can I can think of to explain that. If he is injured he sits down. I didnot see any sign to anyone.

I wasn't expecting him to play through it, just drop to the deck. Could have cost us. Fortunately it didn't.

I can't believe how many "Could be the end" and "He should retire now" comments I've seen.

Take a deep breath and compose yourself.

The guy has just come back from pretty much 2 years out injured. Any twinge he gets he's probably going to overreact because of what he's been through.

This wasn't like his muscle tears in the past where he's been writhing around in agony, had extensive treatment on the pitch and then been stretchered off.

He over-stretched for the ball on their goal. He may well have tweaked his hamstring, but anyone could have done in that situation, he was at full stretch.

He walked off the pitch unaided, no treatment, no stretcher, not even a limp.

My guess is it's nothing serious and even if he has done his hamstring it might be absolutely nothing to do with his previous injury problems.

Let's wait and see what the doctor says before writing his career off just yet.
