Have to think we'd have at least two more trophies in the cupboard if he wasn't a crock. What a player.

Thought he was excellent. Very dominant and quick to spot any potential danger.

He became a bit ragged late on as he became tired. I guess that's expected because he played 120mins the other day.
 
Growing in confidence, probably starting to trust his body again. That was like the Vinny of old.
 
I raised my very concern's after the Arsenal game in this thread when no one really did, so I guess it's fair now to say that fuck, he's been immense. Atkinson seemed to be a bit lenient towards him and Otamendi versus Rashford, but still, he was a fucking battler and this sounds weird, but it's just so good to see him finish even a game these days without any problems.
 
absolute hands down the best defender at the club....and he makes others around him better as if Ottomendi would play like that every week we wouldn't need to go looking for other centre halves......John stones needs to be show videos of Kompany and how to defend and tackle one on one like him
 
excellent. didnt have a lot to do but when he was the last man on a few occasions he stopped the threat. Good use of the ball too
 
This is what he is brilliant at. Sniffing the danger and covering for the other defenders if they make a mistake.

 
Can't believe I'll say this about Atkinson... but it was good to see a referee allow Kompany, and Otamendi, to play on the front foot and bully the other team.
