2019. My hope was always that he will fulfill his contract as now we have a comfortable situation with 3 high quality CBs who are more often than not available: Otamendi, Stones and Laporte, so having Kompany as the 'fourth' option really is a luxury (and Tosin has done well this season, too).

In theory yes, but he has said himself that he doesnt want to play for another club. My guess is he will retire in 2019 and join Peps coaching staff.

That was a performance to shut up the doubters and prove criticism wrong. Just needed some time to get back to his level. He still is a fantastic player, well capable of playing in a Pep team. On his day he is the best centerback in the world. Hero.

The way the whole team, subs too, celebrated with him is testament to his standing in our club. He was a rock today. When he kept pace with aubamayeng and shrugged him off the ball, I knew everything was going to be ok.

Even Bravo sprinted to join in the celebrations.... That squad knows how hard he has worked & what it meant to him.
