That pace he showed to catch up with Aub.... wow, I thought that had abandoned him years ago! Vintage performance!

Vincent Kompany has always been a fantastic defender but I thought a yard of pace had gone. But when he bet aubameyang in that sprint I was amazed. Give him Thursday night off and get him back in the team next Sunday. One game a week is fine.

I think Vinnny always does his best, but I think he understandably plays within himself at times as worries about injuries.

Yesterday, I felt he was playing for his place in the team for CL games.

I think not being automatic first choice has added something to his game.

personally i think us signing a rotation centre back and then keeping vinny as a 5th choice/'bonus' when fit, maybe with a part time coaching role, is the most likely outcome.

Intelligent, driven, progressive, personable & respected are the attributes required to make a great coach. I've no idea wether Vinny would make the grade with us, but he has all the tools & comparisons Unsworth are pretty weak.

Kompany is a true leader, on and off the pitch. He is a winner, a mentality beast, an intelligent lad and a perfect captain.
I was really hoping he is fit for Wembley as he is the kind of character you need in a final when it counts.
I am so happy for him, great to see him score and celebrate and smile and lift the cup.

If we find the right game time for him he still is immense.
If only Stones would be able to copy paste the way Kompany is leading his colours. But a personality is what it is I guess. Stones has to go his own way.
