Vincent Kompany - 2017/18 performances

He’s probably in my top 5 favourite City players ever but I fear his city career is coming towards its end.

I would like to see either Stones or Laporte at centre back on Tuesday.

Kompany was part of a team that conceded three goals against a shit United team yesterday. Ergo, he's part of the problem in defence.

I haven't watched MoTD or the highlights on the club website (to be honest I'm not sure I want to), but I'm pretty sure I was angry with Kompany at the game for allowing Pogba to dart in front of him to score the equalizer, so yes, Kompany was definitely at fault for that goal.

Also as captain he should have been able to rally and motivate the team after the scum scored their first goal, but as usual Kompany was nowhere to be seen.

where has the steading vinny gone,he would have calmed everyone down in the past and not let the defence crumble

His constant hoofing to the opposition isn't helping anyone. Hope he doesn't start Tuesday.

he was better this game for me. the one big issue I think - thats not been talked about much is the lack of leadership in the team. I know he got a goal, but there was no one on the pitch yesterday commanding the players and leading team. Kompany kinda lost the plot a bit in my opinion.

He's been a great captain, but in my opinion his leadership has always been about getting people geared up. That's a great ability to have, but sometimes a captain needs players to calm down. At Anfield last week, or yesterday, when things started slipping out of control, you need someone who will get the team to keep cool, and it looks to me as if Vinnie doesn't do that.
(A bit like Joe Hart, yelling at everyone to gee them up all the time.)

I find myself constantly in the position of defending our players against the emotional overreactions of our fans... Strangely, there used to be 3 players I didn't have to worry about defending: Silva, Dihno and Kompany. The positive opinions about these 3 were so strong that even when they had poor games, many would rather blame others.

But it seems this last 2 games really hit our fans hard. Coz it seems Silva is the only one left these days. Everyone else seems to be getting the "Otamendi' treatment -

I.e: When good, fans claim "'they we're good today."
But when they have a poor game fans say 'they are not good enough anymore - or in Ota's case ' never good enough to start with''

Stranger days :(
