Vincent Kompany injuries

I think its time we called it a day with Vinny these injuries setbacks have gone beyond a joke!! End of the season he has to go we can't rely on him and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if he hung up his boots after the world cup which he will no doubt be fit for and play every second and have a blinder.

If Stones or Otamendi get injured I would rather bring on Kompany and risk injury than Mangala and guarantee a catastrophe.

And Kompany Stones and Otamendi are so perfect they never make mistakes!! just like the one I imagined Stones made on Tuesday night.

Ugh!

If you watched Tuesday night and think Mangala is a better option on the bench than Kompany then you're blind and/or an idiot.

Even Manga's mum wouldn't try and argue that.

As for Stones, yeah, he has been pretty much perfect this season, hence 9 clean sheets in the 11 games he's started.

Yeah, I was thinking of the meltdown on here.
I see what you mean.
Personally I think it is time to come to terms with:

1. Vinny will never be injury free. He is a part time player like he has been in the last 3 seasons.
2. Vinny will not retire from international football. This essentially means that of the X games he body allows him play per season, he prefers spending Y of them playing for Belgium, reducing the number of games he is available for City.

He is off course totally within his rights to continue to play internationals, nothing anybody can say there. But similarly the club would be within its rights if it deems that another player would be more useful in the squad. As much as it pains me to say so, that is what I would decide.

I'm no idiot because there is only one idiot who would put an injured player on the bench.

But you are missing the point our defenders in particular Stones take chances when they are playing out from the back.

The big difference year has been the man in between the sticks and Stones developing as a player.

In relation to Mangala what most non haters could see was that he was overloaded and exposed on a number of occasions due to the inexperienced left back. Also the fact that Pep didn't take him off said a lot about his performance during the game.
