sad for kompany but football is a hard game and no room for anybody just to take a place in the squad and its looking over now and the window pep will bring in a new player and i can see kompany holding his hands up and saying enough is enough let him have a big big rest and get fit for the world cup in the later stage of the season by training with the squad and give him one last thank you to the fans like zabba

How sad for vinnie,but there will be no sentiment from pep he will want another cb this window to replace him immediately,unfortunately vinnie can’t be relied on now hopefully he gets himself right in time for the World Cup plays some part for Belgium then calls it a day and takes up some sort of coaching role at city..

Sad to see him end this way. I hope he'll be fit enough to play a part in the run in, at some point. Could always stick him in goal at the swamp, after our guard of honour. What harm could it do?

Vinny looks finished, he needs to have a serious think about knocking it all on the head and moving on after the World Cup, the constant setbacks can't be good for him mentally and emotionally.

Why would he get a coaching job at City ?

Why not,his experience could be used in some sort of capacity if that’s what he wanted to do,I’m sure the club would like to have vinnie back at some stage even if he did decide to move on if considered surplus to requirements by pep,it’s all ifs and ands at the end of the day though..

There is no point in him leaving because he’s just going to be injured and not playing every game somewhere else. He should stay and we should buy his long term successor, in the meantime he can focus on getting fit and playing when he can. I believe he can do his badges here and go on to have a very good coaching/management career . I don’t think he’s gonna make the World Cup which is very sad for him

He is still a City player and similar to Uncle Yaya can still play some part this season.

He should stay at city and do what he can, when he can . If it’s over playing wise then he should do his coaching badges and city can help him craft a career in management.

He’s been a model professional
He’s intelligent and articulate.

If Gerrard (slip) can do it for the juniors at Liverpoo then why can’t Vinny for us?
Perfect role model...if coaching is not his forte he still can have an influence in some management capacity. Nearly a decade at the club...he has earnt the chance!!!!! Cold have a massive influence on the youngsters.

And I’m gutted to see his career ending in this way for him...absolutely gutted.
