Violence at Euro 2016

He has a point though. Even if no England fan was to blame, which clearly some are, other countries love to have a go at the English because of the history. So it does tend to involve England more than other countries. Do you think if Russia were playing Iceland there would be the same scenes?

no probably not, but as i said we haven't had hooligan problems for 40 odd years pretty much. Russias hooligans still think of us like that. when most england fans are just there to watch the football, its the same with club football.

What would that privileged fucking spineless jug eared twat know about fuck all except first class travel and executive boxes? Has he not thought that England always seem to be involved because every moron in Europe, including a few in police uniforms, love to goad and fight the English?

Indeed. England, like all teams, has wankers supporting them, but the press are too quick to place the blame on English fans as a whole.

The world cup in Russia is going to be the worst of all time. Fuck me, there'll be plenty beaten to death in the streets.

Yeah I remember hearing a bunch of stories about terrible lodging, sickly looking straw dogs everywhere, and disgusting food when Russia had the Winter Olympics a few years back.

Well I think after recent events, it's safe to say we're not popular abroad, be it for political or football reasons... though it does seem to also happen on Champions League away days with conflicts involving local gangs/police.

Quite frankly, fuck 'em all. And Lineker needs to get his head out of the sand.

The decent England fans are suffering for the reputation of what went before them and will for years. The English aren't exactly liked in Europe, particularly in France,so we will always be a target.

I'm surprised England fans ran away, I thought they would've stood their ground and fight.

Ha ha, someone been watching Green Street? I know what you mean though.

I think in present day football over here certain fans give it the big en knowing full well the police will keep opposing supporters segregated. So all you really get is handbags with the odd minor scuffle.

Then if you're suddenly faced with a load of big Russians coming for you it's a different scenario altogether.

My first choice wouldn't be to stand my ground and fight I know that for sure. A load of Danny Dyers vs Russian fighters. I know who'd I'd back.

Yep got it in one! Get to the booths and vote out on the 23rd because if we stay in they will screw us to the floor.

Bit naive to say there hasn't been a problem for 40 years. I'm 36 and seen plenty of incidents watching city. But never read a word of it in the papers. I think a lot is swept under the carpet. Anyone who was at Stoke away when we both went down will testify to major altercations. Whenever I've been old Trafford (also Wembley when we player them) I've seen fairly meaty events but also a lot of policing as well. I've seen people sparkled on the floor numerous occasions.

If there wasn't a problem there would be no need for the high level of policing. Huge Police escorts occur for all big games still.

Not saying it's as it was in the 70's and 80's but I think it's policed better and reported less for political reasons.
