Looks like a move to Liverpool is now unlikely.
If we signed VVD, it would be a magical signing as he is the best CH in the league.

Over the last 2 seasons VVD has been better than Kompany. He's played regularly for a start.Better than kompany? Jog on.

That makes every defender who plays in the prem better than him then..
It's a futile argument as one can only measure over a sustained period, however, VVD isn't or never will be on the same level as vinny 'when fit, he's not fit to lace his boots...
Incidentally, vinny has been involved in our last 14 games, 12 starts, 2 from the bench... let's not tempt fate but all signs point towards overcoming that horrible period, which means categorically (imo), that if he remains fit, we piss the league!!!
