Virgin Broadband

what about people who already have virgin media :) any discounts for them

Not exactly a discount but at the end of my contract last moth i phoned them to reduce all my packages. Got a decent enough bloke on the phone that offered me £20pm over and above what i got as a new customer for the same package when i signed up. So i told him mate i want to reduce my costs not increase them, he told me that was his best offer BUT i'll put you through to Customer retention (he called it something else) Looked at my package said you can have same deal as what you had when you signed up or 300 meg internet for £10 a month extra if i sign for another 12 mnth.

Full house package (no sky sports) 300+ internet and weekend calls house phone for £55 pm

Fair play I sort movies and sports out differently from a very nice man ;)

TBH they had me by the short and curlies, I was always going to be a customer at some lvl since we have only have virgin fibre piped in up here, fastest speed away from virmin is something like 6Mbs which is piss poor with 2 xbox ones and a ps4 and a number of dad gadgets.

wifi speed just taken

£106 p/m mine - full house tv (all sports) as well,Vivid 200 broadband and Talk more anytime, think it's a good deal mine, runs to October

I got the lot. Full house XL tv , sports and cinema, phone and internet all for £83.74.
Should be £99 odd but have a £17 loyalty discount until April 2019.
Quite happy with it and been with virgin over 10 years now.

Was paying £78 pm until last December for basic package - phone, broadband and TV (no sport/movies). Wanted to reduce costs, so switched to BT, but within 24 hours had the VM customer retention team on the phone and the upshot was a 12 month contract on £36 pm with BT Sport and Sky Movies.

From now on fuck loyalty, as it only goes one way. I'm now the switcheroo king, although I never switch just either threaten it or take the first steps, and they - EDF, Aviva - come crawling after you offering special deals, discounts, blow jobs ...

I've got Tv XL with sports and movies Multi-room 2 boxes and I think 2nd from top broadband. Plus a landline that I don't use, I don't even know the number or have a home phone.
I'm currently paying £115 and month and have been doing for the last 3 years is it worth phoning up about a discount or am I paying the going rate.

Should I phone around and ask about prices, I've never switch anything before, still with the same british gas and eon, sepearate bills. Just couldn't be arsed before but maybe I should start thinking about this switching stuff

You're not paying the "going rate", you're paying what Virgin think they can get away with.

Have a look at uSwitch and https://broadband.moneysavingexpert.com/ (there is a TV only option there if you want). Also have a gander at the forums on MSE. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=68 for phone/BB, mobile and TV & https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13 for the energy companies.

If you know your total usage for electric and gas from last year then join the energy club at MSE and see what it comes up with. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cheapenergyclub

Fucking shite.

Can barely keep my internet on and my TV keeps cutting off half my bleeding channels and it has been going on for nearly two weeks and they don't give a shit the wretched fucking chancers
