Its Guinness time any day of the week.
A volley in the true sense of the footballing world happens when a player connects with a football that has not touched the ground during the build up or clearance.
Our OS are completely wrong with two of the ten.Do you agree and can you guess which ones should be removed.By far and away Steve MacKenzies was the best.

I was thinking that when I watched it yesterday!
I still love watching Ali B's backheal flick for Goater.

Aye, Nasri and Allen clearly not volleys. Then again, on the 'showboating' one, Aguero blasting in from six yards...

All of these montages do a fine job of sparking debate, our own so far has been to question how Tevez's free kick against Stoke did not even make the top 10 for long range strikes ? If they plan to release one for dead ball situations it may appear in that, but if so Elano's aginst the Barcodes is in the wrong section.

I would've started the same thread if I had made enough posts, but not sure how many you need!

I agree totally with all of the above. Mackenzie's volley was easily the best, especially considering the occasion. However, if judged on aesthetic value alone, the award would probably go to Jensen. It was enjoyable watching Anelka toying with Mills on that one too.

I 'm not sure when it was decided that balls that have already bounced should be called volleys but even so, the Nasri one wasn't even really a bouncing ball. They were obviously just desperate to shoehorn a cracking goal in somehow.

In the solo goals top ten, Gio's fantastic goal at Boro is missing for some reason. Perhaps they decided that three was enough.

OK got my goat too! Take them out and put in Tevez goal and Colin Bell volley against Ipswich. Its on youtube (Cracker)
