See my post on the previous page, it's a DNS issue, google play hasn't been working for some time with NordVPNs DNS servers and recently amazon have followed suit. Basically amazon web addresses aren't resolving through NordVPN's servers which they advise you to use in every setup tutorial they have as they are private DNS servers which they control.
They are working on a solution but there's no ETA, so for now the workaround is either switch it off when you want to use Amazon or play or change the DNS while they hopefully find a solution. It's an easy fix to change the DNS whether you use the Nordvpn app(advanced settings) or router(basic setup) but comes with the problem of having to find and trust a free public DNS which claims not to log.
I was going to suggest quad9 but I don't trust the DNSleak result so I've opted for Cloudfare's 1.1.1.1, they've promised not to log data and any ip logs deleted after 24hrs.
