I have been using Express VPN for a while now but their reliability is suspect. I was curious if the Folks out there in Wahoo world have a suggestion for a reliable VPN that won’t slow down my system. Thanks in advance.

Pure VPN has worked reliably for me the past few years. Speeds are ok and a large choice of servers in different countries.

The main reason is it changes your internet location to somewhere else. Most people use it to access streaming providers that you can't sign up for here because you're not in that country.

I've never tried it but you could sign up to a legitimate football broadcaster abroad and watch premier league games for example. The usual suspect is when you go in a pub and they have on a game that isn't on BT or Sky, if that's happening then it's definitely over VPN via a foreign broadcaster.

It's a bit of a grey area in terms of legality I think, they obviously clamp down on illegal streams but they can't stop legitimate websites from abroad.... No-one can see it being used anyway as you can't track what happens over VPN.

ISP's log everything you access online but if you use a VPN they can't see anything because it's encrypted so some use one for extra privacy. Why you might want more privacy is down to you...

That's definitely true, ugh. I've recently read an article about it's advantages and decided to try. I still don't understand how it can protect my data. However, using it with my firestick indeed gives more opportunities. For instance, I got an access to geo-restricted content that I couldn't see before. I liked this feature.
