There are still people who still have similar attitudes to those who sent Cyrille Regis a bullet in the post or didn't count goals scored by Black players. Those people, sadly still exist, and they feel emboldened in recent years. I was born in this country in the mid 60's there are still random strangers who shout racist abuse in the street or while you're driving. It's gone back to being as bad as the late 70s and early 80s. Not just people who are wearing England clobber or flying their flag. Happens frequently particularly to Black people. You'd be surprised how often. Try living with it.
