As soon as the game finished, I turned over to the Iran-USA game, as I was sure it would be a Rashford wank-fest.

The City lads were all very good I thought. Stones and Walker very solid at the back. Foden played well, got a goal and his run lead to the free kick for our first. Phillips (with an assist) and Grealish also looked fit and lively.

Rashford will no doubt get the plaudits. Scored a very good free kick, pressed well and scored a second (poor from keeper for 2nd though). His overall play though was quite poor and gave it away constantly.

Unfortunately I can’t see Southgate dropping all of Sterling, Mount & Saka, so with Rashford a shoe-in that’s probably Foden back on the bench
