Bang on he has been involved in all of England's good stuff. With this in mind only a pillock wouldn't try and get the ball to him more. If he has been put wide it's not his fault the ball doesn't find him enough.

Yep, Foden’s strength is his interplay around the box. It wouldn’t even be a problem playing him wide if he had plenty of licence to switch positions. But Southgate hasn’t coached the team to do that. You could easily have Foden, Bellingham and Rashford switching positions constantly.
