Want someone to blame? Blame HUGHES

I'm sorry but I have to take exception to some of the posts in this thread! Under Mancini we have more points per game, conceded far, far fewer per game and have a very similar goals scored per game, though this is in Hughes favour. Bearing in mind this is Hughes £200m team and he was here 18 months compared with Mancini's 6 then no-one can really have any doubts as to who the better man for the job is.

And as for the 'we'd have won the CC Cup with Hughes' comment....load of bullshit. Under Hughes we had 3 derby games and lost the lot in poor fashion; there is nothing to suggest he'd have got us through that tie.

Of course this!

How anyone can think 1.7 points per game is better than 1.85 is beyond me. I know some of the posters on here get a little emotional but to be so completely blind to straight forward fact is fucking sad.

As for the carling cup comment. LMFAO

Desperate, desperate, and more desperate. Still slagging off a manager who's long gone, whilst being so insecure about the current incumbent that any criticism of him leads to mass hysteria.

Let the past go ladies. Focus on the future.

I agree that Hughesy may have cost us a CL spot although in saying that he'd have probably matched what we ultimately achieved anyway so did we actually gain anything by ditching him mid-season?

We gained a better manager for next season.

I blame that little twat sunning himself in Brazil as well.In the games we have played this season, that cried out for a bit of magic, someone that could create a goal against a resolute defence, the one player on our books that could provide it,is thousands of miles away.

I think you're right but this only matters if he's kept on for next season

Nope. I've tried to stay off this thread as much as i can, but comments like 'Mark Hughes = twat' are just pathetic and uncalled for really. What I think is happening is people are wondering 'hmmm, what if we'd kept him?'. You are spot on though, Mancini has achieved more or less what Hughes would probably have ended up achieving. Hindsight is obviously a wonderful thing, and whilst its acceptable to say the draws may have cost us, its also acceptable to say that maybe if Mancini's team had not allowed Scholes to be unmarked in the box in the 93rd minute, we may have got a draw. We could also say what if Ade hadn't seen his mate shot dead, making him miss weeks of the season, games which he may have scored in? Its all ifs and buts, but the bottom line is we're on for 5th and thats because Spurs have been better than us this season, no matter who's been manager.

Hang on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How many PL games did we lose under Hughes ??????????????????
Thank you !!!!!!!!!!
And how many under Bobby Manc.
Lets get things into perspective.
We have been tooo NEGATIVE at times under Bobby Manc.
Some of you need to get your head out of your arses.

You're the one who needs to extract his head from his rectum. You get 1 point for a draw mate and 3 points for a win.

We could have lost 4 and won 3 of those 7 seven fixtures and still come out better off than our nice undefeated run under Hughes.
