Was Rooney's the greatest goal ever scored at the swamp?

It's about the goal itself, the other parts are not even worth mentioning, especially the pitch part which is weak
Read my post again; I said the goal was a fantastic strike (shin or no shin). But to dismiss the other points I raised is extremely short sighted. The circumstances that led to the goal were extremely fortunate, and the point regarding your disgraceful playing surface is very valid.

how does a shinned shot from a deflected cross become the greatest goal?, good lord!!!
get real. all bicycle kicks are a lottery.
the deflected cross has no relevance to the outcome of the attempt.
the ball comes across and its an instinct thing. you either look a total nob as you miss the ball, put it in row z, out for a throw in etc. or your a kin hero as it goes in the only part of the goal not covered by the keeper.
unfortunately today it came off for him, hate the spud faced twat but the idea and execution was as good as ive seen.
lets not demeen ourselves by pretending otherwise.
if it was any of our players scored that goal we would be power wanking over it for months and with good reason.
we more than matched the rags yesterday. we lost to goal of the season.
they know it
not sure we do

Good honest post.

As a Utd fan I would say that there's been better goals scored at Old Trafford but that doesn't take away from the magnificence of yesterdays goal. His goal against Newcastle was probably better in my opinion but the significance of it not as important.

You're nitpicking at the goal for some reason. Nobody ever cares about a loss of possession minutes earlier, a slip by a defender, the pitch etc.

If it's like that then you could say it about every goal that's scored all over the country.

This "luck" stuff which is labeled at rival teams is getting silly.

Terrific goal, let's be honest guys. I hate Rooney almost as much as Ratface but it was a thing of beauty and I actually think I would have creamed myself if it was Tevez at the other end.

I'm gonna talk about the game in general as the first post in my daily blog tomorrow.

Do me a favour blues if you can: check it out and let me know what if you like my first article before I let any other footie fans know bout it!

Can always trust a blue!

So; you're denying that there was any luck in the lead up to GS' goal then? Fine, have it your way. There's none as blind as those that won't see.

You can put words into my mouth all you like. You're just nitpicking a good goal. If a United fan mentioned a City goal then mentioned the pitch, a slip, loss of possession etc, you'd call them bitter.
