Was Rooney's the greatest goal ever scored at the swamp?

my opinion has been documented and quoted several times on this thread.
the goal in question will go down in history as the best goal ever scored at the swamp.
or it might not.
who cares? not me and not any other blue i talk to.
the point is we lost to that goal and by fuck they will have to cling to that memory for a long time to come.
cos i tell you now they are shittin it.
banter about the money has stopped now were goin there showing no respect. thats not happened for years.
next season the derby at the swamp will mean nothing to us.

Charlton scored one in the 60's, I think against Spurs. A left foot screamer from the edge of the box after a length of the field move involving Kidd and Law. Always rated it very highly, better than Rooney's.

Lets make no bones about it, it was a cracking goal, however I am not surprised by the media wankfest surrounding it already. If someone from the Championship had done it, then they'd all be saying that it's all fine and well, but you have to produce that kind of skill weekly for it to be deemed 'great', as otherwise it would be deemed just lucky. Well, I've not seen Rooney do that for a few seasons, so it is just one of those things that came off for once. Great goal, but one of the greatest my arse. Again, it's just an example of lazy shite journalism........the usual Rag hyperbole.
