wasn't old enough to remember 2002 world cup

I'm 19 and even remember small things from the 1994 World Cup (Houghton v Italy). Wasn't old enough to remember 2002?! Woah

Cheating by every means possibe to win a game.Just like every other Saturday at Old Trafford if you ask me.

In September 2002, Moreno, while a candidate in October elections for places on the Quito city council, was suspended for twenty matches.[7] and investigated by Ecuadorian soccer authorities and FIFA[8] after a match he officiated between Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito and Barcelona Sporting Club from Guayaquil. With Liga de Quito trailing 3–2 at the end of the match, Moreno signalled six minutes of injury time, then allowed play to continue for thirteen minutes, during which Liga de Quito scored an equaliser in the 99th minute, then won the game in the 101st minute. Moreno was also accused of falsifying the minutes in which Liga de Quito scored their equalising and winning goals in his official match report.

Does he happen to work for Fergie? I'm sure he was the referee in the 4-3 derby...

Italy only have themselves to blame for losing against Korea. Vieri had a shocker. The finger gets pointed alot at Korea, but I don't believe the matches were fixed at all, bad refereeing ruined that tournament, look at the Brazil-Belgium game, where Belgium scored a perfectly legit goal which put them 1-0 up over Brazil, but was disallowed, or USA-Germany, Frings' handball on the line, Diouf's dive against Uruguay, or those 2 goals Italy had disallowed against Croatia...

Shocking.

How can you be too young to remember the 2002 world cup! I'm only 17 and can still remember a few of the games from 98'...
Anyway yeah some of South Korea's games were definitely fixed in that tournament, the Spain game being particularly blatant. I remember seeing the replay of Joaquin's cross and pissing myself laughing, the ball was about a yard in play! Summed up a pretty shite world cup really. Despite some on here though, I thought the last world cup was brilliant. Some top games in the latter stages.

I remember bits and pieces from Italia '90 but I was only 4 or 5 then. I remember watching it but dont remember matches.

First (and favourite) world cup has to be USA '94, when Ireland beat Italy 1-0. My favourite player back then was Baggio and him vs McGrath was immense.

I wasn't a big fan of 2006. Apart from Mexico-Argentina, Germany-Italy, the knockouts were quite dull affairs, defensive, boring football dominated. Don't get me started on the Ukraine-Switzerland snoozefest.

That goal though, makes me jizz in my pants.

Germany-Argentina
Brazil-France
Germany-Italy
Germany-Portugal(3rd place play-off)

This lot were, although not the highest scoring games, stilll very good matches with plenty of dramatic moments
