Water at tomorrow’s game | 500ml clear disposable water bottle allowed in the ground.

Hope that woman was okay in the end. Fans were waving to the stewards and pointing out this woman who’d fainted but all the stewards were just looking at everyone without flinching as if nothing was happening, was a bizarre few minutes.

I was the bloke who was pouring bottles of water over himself. I got a few very strange looks and it did look like I’d pissed myself as the crotch area of my shorts seemed to be the last area to dry…. but it was worth it just to cool down.

You were not strange you were inspiring, on the way out i grabbed a plastic Asahi cup and did the same thing with tap water from the bogs.

It was all a bit scary that they didn't seem to have a scooby to get anyone sick in the front stands any rapid medical help. More concern for somebody getting on the pitch and causing embarrassment or the transgression of some council by-law

I thought I'd try to get a refill after the game before the long walk back to the car in the baking sun, thinking there wouldnt be queues like there had been earlier. But the bar in CB 3 was closed. Brilliant move.

Surprise surprise City have a good idea and fuck it up completely. Water is a basic necessity on a day like yesterday.

When they said you could bring in water what they really meant was

"screw you, we're not providing water and you know what, we'll shut all the outlets at the point at which you'll need it. We won't put any more staff on for those queueing for water and we'll not brief stewards on what to do when people pass out either. We'll put some virtue signalling out on twitter but please, just come and spend your money then piss off, love City."

Don’t know where you sit mate but in EL1 they had one member of staff pretty much permanently filling them cardboard pint pots with water and passing them out. Couldn’t fault them, they were doing it right up to the final whistle
Inconsistency of approach between stands is probably the biggest bugbear here

They did but we went up to the bar behind block 102 during the 2nd half water break and unbelievably there was a jobsworth steward telling people that the bar was shutting and not to queue up. He single handedly nearly caused a riot before being ushered away by another steward.

It was hotter than that pitchside. It was an awful experience sat in ESL1 in that Sun all game. Not a hint of a breeze, easily 38°C in the lower bowl.

One of my least favourite days ever watching football, yesterday. Hated almost every minute of it and was so glad to get out of the stadium and out of the Sun after the game.
Don’t forget the fireworks and flares !!! F****** ridiculous idea in that temperature. I actually joked on the way about it happening

Then couldn’t see for the first 15 minutes!!
It’s not like this hasn’t happened before and caused chaos .

So they do it again

What happened to being banned for using pyrotechnics

Ashamed of what??? Summer???
Not putting enough water and staff on for the game you lump. doh - Have you read the thread?did you go to the game? smacked of - 'you’ve had you day out now fuck off home’ that was the vibe - they (club) weren’t going to let people in with a plastic water bottle until the creator of this thread sorted it.

Ridiculous queues for all drinks at half time, probably due to new staff slower than hiatus as it took a while to get served at 2pm.

The water issues were raised with Members.

Missed the water points before the game and during found them outside CB stand when leaving.

we kept hold of the plastic cups from the drinks ordered so we could drink water (even from the taps in the toilets)

jobsworth cleaners on CB level 3 taking them off m and my brother

As someone who suffers from skin cancer I always make sure in sit in the shade.
Even in winter I chose the shade.

My lad said there were two tickets next together on on Thursday do I want to go. Just nope to bloody hot for me, I hate wearing sunblock because everything bloody sticks to you and it stains your clothing etc. Its better than getting skin cancer so I wear it.
