Water at tomorrow’s game | 500ml clear disposable water bottle allowed in the ground.

Does anybody know if this was a record temperature at a home game - it was 32 - the club should be ashamed.

East Stand level 1, full remorseless sun beating full on face all day, was horrible today.
Saw three older people in my block have to leave, two of them aided by medics. And then another two pretty much carried out.
One bloke even passed out with heatstroke on the concourse at HT
I stuck it out for an hour but even then I had to go for shade for 5mins and fair play they kept the concessions open, with free water when I went back up

There will still be ludicrous gammons in off topic and the politics sub thread, who get their entire education from Jeremy Clarkson, Facebook and the Daily Mail comments section, who will insist that climate change is a woke myth and conspiracy

Don’t know where you sit mate but in EL1 they had one member of staff pretty much permanently filling them cardboard pint pots with water and passing them out. Couldn’t fault them, they were doing it right up to the final whistle
Inconsistency of approach between stands is probably the biggest bugbear here

On a day like today why didn’t they just have one person on each kiosk continuously filling cups of water to be handed straight out? Every time someone asked for a tap water they would wander off for a minute to fill it up in the back

edit: same with pints, just keep filling them in readiness, not that difficult is it?
Because that’s too easy
I hope the club monitor Bluemoon

As per my previous answer they did exactly that in EL1 but maybe because that is the stand that got the worst of the direct sun beatdown and also where the most obvious, medic-intervention casualties of the weather were. As I said a few people were carried out and plenty more who were able staggered out under their own steam.
It was a genuine health emergency

It will be another 30 years before another heatwave like this comes around.
In 3 games time everyone will be begging for a hot Bovril and any water fountain will be redundant
The sudden and very noticeable direction of travel in global temperatures suggests otherwise but I do get your point. Apparently it will be pissing down here on Monday and Tuesday
