Watford (A) Post Match Thread

Given we have just won a very tricky away fixture to go 5pts clear at a very difficult stage of the season I am astonished to find a considerable amount of moaning. For most of the game we terrorised Watford and only some quite brilliant saves by Foster it would have been a humping.

Yes a nervous last 10 after conceding a poor goal but thats football. I thought it a cracking game to watch. There were a time when we could not buy a win at Watford.

Excellence itself for 80 minutes then had to show some pretty serious grit and chest hair to see it through.

That last 10 was what I meant by not taking Watford lightly. They’ve got it in them to cause some right mither if you let them.

This is the problem, you see a preference and think it’s a criticism..

We’re more fluid in our attacks with sane and Sterling, the movement amongst the front 3 is hindered by his inability to be interchangeable. Cracking player but does his insistence on checking back grind my gears?? Ya damn skippy

Be interesting to see him and Sane swap sides for a game, Sane is better at going both sides of the full back and Mahrez has the best cross out of our wingers bar Bernardo when he plays wide.

It's a bit of a shame the end of the game took the gloss of that win and will perhaps give other teams hope, maybe that can work in our favour though.

I don't see that much cause for concern. We lost composure for 5-10 mins after a mistake at the back that led to a scrappy as anything goal. In a game we otherwise would have made look like a walk in the park, at a ground which some of other top 6 teams have struggled at in recent times, with a lot of rotation of players.

Against Bournemouth all the talk on here was Delph coming on changed the game, he was class. Tonight he makes a mistake and he is shit.
Everyone needs to realise when you play like we do every now and again players will make a mistake which will result in a goal.
We won and were much the better team for 80 minutes. No problem

Jesus needs to find his scoring boots sharpish. He's not cutting it lately. Put any top class striker up top tonight and it's game over before 70 mins.

Delph doesn't make that error and that last 10 minute frenzy doesn't happen.
