I thought Watford's unsung hero tonight was Tierney. The number of fouls he didn't give to City was, in my opinion, at least 6 or 7, and you could see our players getting more and more frustrated when this happened. On the other hand, he did his best to give any minor challenge by City as a free kick.
A splendid display of game management.
Having said that, Watford were plucky opponents and didn't let their heads drop. Their goal was fortunate, but we held out to put us safe from relegation for another year.
Finally, I couldn't believe my ears when Peter Walton said we should have had a penalty for handball. he never did that when he was a "referee", especially against Everton.
I thought the ref was wank too....
