Watford (a) post-match

Over on sad cafe they reckon that Pep and City are playing beautiful football and it's lovely to watch but it's boring !!! Apparently Pep controls it to much from the dugout and that's wrong lol !!!

Quality performance from the whole team.

Took my 9 year old lad to his first away match and at full time Sterling (his favourite player) came over to the fans and gave him his match shirt. Nice touch from Raheem and left my boy beaming from ear to ear!

Wonderful stuff, he'll love school on Monday, telling all his mates that story!

Something really special is happening at this club. It's not just the scorelines it's the manner of the performance. Fluid football.

Sorry - not aimed at you. I think it was the poster you were replying to (or maybe one more removed...). It was also a general comment, as games attended is sometimes cited to support an opinion, as though that makes a difference.

And you're right about it being expensive to go to games if you live abroad - the last time I did it, I ended up having to go corporate and the tickets were about 150 quid each to see us play Stoke, and almost double that for Liverpool. Fortunately, we won both 3-0 and my 11year old son was in heaven, so it was well worth it!
It's ok, mate — I just wanted to clarify that I didn't agree with that line of thought, either, whomever asserted it. There are "purists" that believe unless you are a current seasoncard holder you don't really have a valid view point (i.e. if you don't watch our players week in, week out, in person, in pissing rain, from the Colin Bell stand, whilst eating cold pies, you can't really know anything) but I've never been one of them, even when I had a seasoncard, a trusty raincoat, and a penchant for frozen ground meat. Then again, that might be down to us being shite for that formative period of my life; when you're watching the likes of Danny Tiatto and Paulo Wanchope amble around the pitch, whilst your favourite players are being bundled to London just to keep the club afloat, and you get giddy when Keegan signs Vicente Mathias ****ing Vuoso, your perspective has a tendency of developing differently.

My view is that all blues opinions are worthy of consideration... until they've proven themselves to be rags, of course. ;-)

Possibly the best 90 minutes I've ever seen from a City team. Fantastic to start like that after playing away in the CL on Wednesday. We have usually started very leggy after midweek games in the past. It was the hunger in the team that caught my eye. Let's hope we can keep that going. The players are now moving in all areas when we're trying to play out and so the defenders are not on the back foot like they were very noticeably most of last season. Great player though he is, not having to dance to Toure's rather slow tune makes a huge difference. And maybe Moss doing his job properly last week was the little break that a team sometimes needs to make a leap forward. Big strong team Watford and they've pushed us around physically before but not this time. They were whinging a bit about coming off second best at it, along with their fans.

The stream I was initially watching, with headphones on, I could hear the Watford fans very clearly & it was as if the ground was full of scousers, so bad was the whining & booing at the slightest thing. They have gone on my list of clubs who can fuck right off.

The point you make re John Moss, is a good one I think. Imo our home performance v Chelsea last season, was one of our best, & some bad finishing & a couple of defensive glitches, cocked it up. But the game deciding factor, was the referee not doing his job. Luiz goes for his red card offence, we would have won & taken off imo.

Instead, from that game, our confidence dropped & Chelsea's soared. I think we would have turned Liverpool over 2nd half, with 11 v 11, but the ref doing his job, enabled us to do it, without having to worry about them at all, which gave us a swagger.

Klopp has just made the point that City's confidence has 'unfortunately' been boosted by our win v them.

One of the few things he's got right since & nice to know he's worrying about us when they drop points.

Cue UEFA crackdown over financial doping in our match day hospitality which has lead to improperly demensioned tea carts.

Stealing a living in attempted punditry. Ridiculously anti-city in everything he does spout, and adds nothing interesting or insightful to any commentary on any match I've ever heard him on. When anyone mentions the word "bitter", uncle fester Mills is exactly that...........
Someone should point out to Danny that with just seven conceded in the last 13 league games we are on track to have the best defensive record in our entire history! Nothing like fake news is there? It was a privilege to watch yesterday. I believe this is our best ever team (better than 2012 and 2014) but we we must go and prove it by winning the trophies we deserve.

Robbie Savage during BT match coverage called KDB the best player in the league if not the world at the moment. Sutton kept sneering at idea of KDB being best in league (twunt) Savage also said Stones had been 'emense' mid week and great again yesterday. Cannot stand the guy but fair play to him yesterday.
