Watford FA Cup Ticket Prices

Just had a peek at a Watford forum and a couple of posters on there seem to think that they've got an option to take more tickets if they sell out (as they now have). 1200 was mentioned but I can't see where they would put them if they've already got the whole of the South Stand behind the goal.

Either way, 6000 is a damn good following and just shows what is possible when you combine sensible pricing with a 3PM Saturday kick-off.

They could put them in the Colin Bell 3rd tier if they wanted. Maybe thats why its closed

Watford sold 5,400 by this evening and they go on general sale tomorrow which means they will probably sell out tomorrow.

Perhaps City should open the 3rd tier of the West Stand and put Watford fans in there? I don't know if that would work segregation wise but when we played Lech Poznan and they sold out the away end (2,800), I'm sure the additional away fans were accommodated in the 3rd tier?

i think city will sell a shit load of tickets at these prices, so no need to put watford in the colin bell 3rd tier, we willl need it.

i just wish the club would put the 3rd tiers on the stadium planner when buying tickets, not everyone wants to sit down below.

City's ticket announcement says Watford allocated much of the South Stand. Perhaps the initial allocation does not include the corner blocks in the South Stand?

Even though tickets are cheap, I don't think we will sell more than 30k ourselves. City's supporter base is limited by the current ground capacity - so there just aren't that many match-going blues.

111 is classed as south stand but is never given to away fans.

Bell end level 3 is already shut though. Or do you expect them to open it?

I think you might be under-estimating demand for this match. Kids for a quid is usually a good crowd-puller. We had 37,000 for the Scunthorpe League Cup game in 2009. Ok, it was half-term but a 3pm Saturday kick-off, albeit just after Christmas when funds are low, should still be more attractive than a midweek night match during the school holidays.
