Was thinking the very same thing....Ive never heard of PGMOL or any refereeing institution either being consulted or offering a judgement in the middle of the game.

For me Sterling CANT be offside....the defender has touched the ball last and you cannot be offside from when the last touch comes off the opposition...thoug they are saying the ruling says that if a player is making an attempt to play the ball even if the opposition player plays the ball onto you and you have started in an offside position then you are still offside.

It's more subtle than that though. If the defender deliberately plays the ball back and you nip in and get it, then you can't be offside. But if both players go for a ball played by an attacker, the defender gets to it first but it falls to the attacker and he scores, then that's offside, because the attacker was still going for the original ball forward from the attacker.

I’m watching it on Canada tv and it’s refrshing that schmeichel and Andy Townsend dont give a fuck about the offside but are ripping Watford a new one for being so negative. Refreshing.

Haha im not bothered either. We deserved the win. We can disagree and and that’s fine. The offside law is a farce.

The law is a farce mate and so open to interpretation its untrue.

The ref gives the goal but Walton, someone who has history of fucking us over couldn't wait to say no goal and this is the issue.

The law should make it impossible for anyone to disagree.
