Watford (H) Post Match Thread

On our first attack Watford have a back line of 7.with those intentions they deserved nothing from the game.

Why will it hurt us? I couldn't give two fucks if we create 20 chances and only score 1. Let me repeat to you what I've already said to your other negative post match comments.
THIS TIME OF THE SEASON IS ALL ABOUT GETTING 3 PTS.
Fuck chances. Fuck performances. Fuck the Scousers and fuck the premier league.
What part of its all about getting 3pts on the board don't you get?

We’ve been a bit lucky since Chelsea game but in the end we’re getting 3 points. We need the break in prem games and hopefully can keep some of our players home for International break.

Anyway, Paul Tierney isn’t a premier league ref IMO. Too nervous to make a decision on his own and when he does make one it’s invariably wrong.

Poor first half really, struggled to break them down and the 30 second goals kicks didn’t help.

Noticed that in quite a few matches, almost as if we have the audacity to play in the area of the pitch they normally occupy. Sorry, I thought the players could move anywhere, and the refs have to fit in around that...
 
I've been thinking about the pub which is a 5 minute walk from my house. It's one of those big old rambling places with lots of rooms. The bar and most of the rooms have a screen showing Sky and BT matches. The only time I've been in to watch a match was last season's 1-0 away win at Chelsea. Anyway, I digress. The point being that whenever there's a match on, it's packed with scousers. I don't go when there is a match on for obvious reasons but the one time I did go, they were balling and moaning and being loud and getting pissed. Some even wear their colours. So I am imagining what it would have been like this evening. Guaranteed they would have been pissed up and loud and at half time, would have believed Watford had a chance of holding on. And then what happened in the second half would have shattered them. Not only did City get a controversial goal, it was scored by the one and only Raheem Sterling, the most hated player in Scouseland. Not only that, he then got his hatrick, thereby pushing their glorious team further behind

I can picture it now between the spitting and the dribbling, "Fuck off Sterling you fucking twat mercenary" and "Fuck off you manc Judas, you fucking twat Sterling" And others. What is really great to think about is their hope that was there at half time as they got a fresh round in, was shattered in the space of about 15 second-half minutes. And for Raheem to have done it to them, would have felt like 3 daggers to the heart.

Honestly, it's a pity I was at the match because I would have enjoyed sitting quietly in a corner with my pint, observing the scouse meltdown.

(To be fair it's not such a bad pub when there isn't a match on)
