Was interesting to hear Guardiola talk about asking them at half time to change the intensity and the types of crosses. Genuinely cannot understand how the players themselves don't take that responsibility and instead have to wait for the break to be told. The first half was littered with endless chipped crosses into the vicinity of our small forwards or, more often than not, to nobody in particular and the arms of the keeper. I can understand it. Keeping the players motivated after a title winning season is as hard as it gets, yet we’re top with 8 games to go, one trophy in the bag and also looking good in the other two cups. All that while our star man has been injured all season. Sometimes winning beautifully isn’t always the priority, just winning will do.
