That Ball by KDB for Jesus second Goal was just beautiful.

Hope i am not tempting fate, but i felt we were looking much more like our old selves, with some sexy sublime passing moves.

Only real gripe i have, is i feel Grealish is not having the influence in games i thought he would be having. When KDB goes off, I automatically assume Grealish will take control a bit more. For what ever reason it isn't happening .Been disappointed with him this season. Hopefully next season he comes really good.

Please God let Everton get something ..

Great result and performance yesterday. I really do hope it shuts up some of those pessimistic posters on the pre match thread!! I particularly liked the last goal as it came from great passing and movement. Bit disappointed with Jack as I thought that this game would have been perfect for him to shine. can’t complain though, 3 points so onwards and upwards.
 
I was not looking forward to this game if I'm honest. I thought Watford would sit back and pack their box and defend like a team who was fighting for it's life. Shows how much I know about football!

Obviously the early goal made a huge difference, but they offered nothing and we were absolutely superb. When we lost the ball, the team put so much pressure on them they just lost it within seconds. Some of the passing to the wide positions was top class. It's good to see that we're seeing KdB being impossible to play against and we will need him to be on top form if we're going to try to get the PL and CL. I thought Sterling's movement and pace caused them a lot of problems and in all honestly, they looked like a team who were going through the motions. They are down.

As I've said on another thread, I like Jesus. He offers us pace, physicality and scores big goals. I think some people are comparing him to Aguero and maybe other Brazilians but he's not like them. He's a greet squad player and I really hope we keep him, regardless of how many he got yesterday.

Jesus will obviously get MOTM, and rightfully so, but I thought Zinchenko, Fernandinho and KdB could easily have won it as well. Great as well to see Rodri have a crack, I wish he'd do it more often as he has a powerful shot and can score belters.

I was disappointed with Cancelo and Grealish though. I can't figure Cancelo out - he is either "genuinely world class " or "poor" and you never get an "ok" with him. He is so inconsistent. I also thought Grealish offered little. I do appreciate that players take a season to settle into Pep's team, but he is so safe that he offered very little attacking threat. Certainly nothing more than any youth player would offer in the same position.

I hope we can play the same way against the rest of the bus parkers we play again. Getting the early goal just changes the game massively. It just becomes a matter of how many we will get and normally we get a hatful. Obviously a higher GD is an extra point, in effect, so if we can overturn their GD it will be a blow to them. Looks like we've not got any injuries and with the subs we managed to rest a few legs.

Overall, it was a great game and a perfect one for our sons first City match!

On to Real next and that game will be a cracker.

Ha ha the sun flattered to deceive it was bloody freezing with a biting wind. Some loon was stood in front of me in a City top and shorts!

Grealish has been terrible there is no dressing it up otherwise. He receives the ball and passes it backwards. He looks like he wishes he was back at Villa to me. Hopefully he comes good but I fear he might just be a bad fit for our system.

I thought we were very sloppy at times with our passing, Cancelo in particular. Still 5-1 is a good result but we should have scored more, it's not everyday you play a Watford.

I walked back into town with Pete the Badge after the game and had a chat. He was telling me all the jumps he did in the Paras fucked his knees up, but he kept up well. He wasn't coming for the Madrid game as he can't get a hotel cheap enough. He pays £50 for his train ticket and usually another £50-80 for night games as he can't get a train back home but he said the price has gone through the roof for Tuesday, probably the Madrid fans in town. I wish the club would help him out a bit. He's an eccentric loner; n his seventies at least with many years following us and travels up from down south.

Enlighten me. I'm not saying he is poor. All
I am saying is that he isn't really bringing anything to the team that many others in our squad could do. But I genuinely hope next season or even in the remaining games we see him perform like we thought he would.
