I’d be happy with any kind of victory however small, but I do think the GD gives us a bizarre opportunity to add pressure on to Liverpool ahead of the Everton game, as if catching up their GD is some kind of small victory in the title race. Though from this range it’s hard to see GD coming into it, we either win out or we don’t.

Naturally, if we do happen to lose on along the way, it does keep us poised to pounce should they drop any points at all.

I really want us to rest a couple with Madrid in mind. However we can't afford to slip up and we don't have many options to change it , Foden and Silva both need a break but they are both so key in how we play.

not for me as premier league more important than champions league and the dippers wont be resting anyone this weekend? IF we can get 2-3 goals ahead then make changes but full steam from now on and the players should realise they have a maximum of 9 games left this season i believe if all goes well?
