Wayne bridge unavailable for england

I am sure he could play a game with Terry then piss off home. However I reckon the thought of sharing a hotel and training for a month in South Africa is too much. I can see that myself.
No loss for City and they come first. Must make John Terry feel even worse and the media attentioin on him will be even more intense. Any mistakes etc.
I hope to god City play their hearts out on Saturday for Bridge.

I think it's a brave move on his part. Imagine him being in South Africa in a few months, whilst its all still raw, not just playing football, but the free time too. It would be a split camp, with Terry hang ons, and Bridge supporters (quite a few I would imagine) divided. Just can't have that during a World Cup campaign, and Bridgey knows it.

How hard has it been for him to make that decision? Having to miss a World Cup because of that twat Terry.

I'm with Bridge. The wronged man, and a blue. He needs applauding, not castigating.

Fucking hell, wouldn't think this is a City forum. Everyone slagging him off...

It has rock all to do with City. If Bridge had done a Lee Hughes would you stick up for him just cos he plays for City? No you wouldn't. This is to do with one person acting like a woman and saying he's not willing to do something whilst a person he dislikes is doing it at the same time. No-one wins here.

If you mate had been shagging your ex-girlfriend (potentially whilst she wasn't an ex) would you be "acting like a woman" if you gave him a smack? No imagine you're a high profile figure and simply don't have the option to give him a smack, what do you do? Bridge has decided he simply can't be around Terry, and certainly can't be work colleagues with him. I for one back his decision.

Fair play to you, its all about opinions at the end of the day. If I found out my mate had been shgging my mrs though i would deal with it like anyone else would, by dishing out a beating. After tha beating has happened I would just not associate myself with him, but I woulodn't quit my job over it, which is essentially what Bridge is doing in terms of playing for England. As long as they are professional they can play together, I mean what are they going to do, not pass the ball to each other cos of this?!!!
It´s just a friendly and perhaps he´s not ready emotionally so what´s the point of being in the company of someone you prolly despise for a few days - maybe Sat will be Bridge´s cathartic moment!

I can imagine Terry feels extremely hard done by and doesn't feel any remorse whatsoever.

The chances of Terry getting through Saturdays game without someone, and it doesn't have to be Bridge, absolutely clattering him are fairly remote.

World Cup, the games are fine everyones together. But what about in the hotel, going out for meals etc. There would be a split camp and Bridge knows that. Hes shown hes got bottle, and put England and his team-mates thoughts before his own. He wants a fucking medal.

Think his decision is extremely odd and doesn't make him look particularly good. That said, I couldn't really give a shit whether he plays for England or not.

100% SPOT ON

Just cos Bridge isn't there doesn't mean the issue has gone away. Say SWP is called to the WC squad, and Lescott, do you think there will be no split then? Just cos Bridge isn't there doesn't take away the problem. For me this shows a complete lack of proffesionalism. If my buddy sat at the opposite side of the office had fucked my bird, perhaps in the arse, I would deal with him and then go about my daily routine. I wouldn't walk off and act like i'm all that.
