agreed, nothing to chose between the two of us
Yes, they're a very good side and it's going to be a close title race this season.
It's petty to say they're fluking wins and not giving them the credit they deserve. We would be eulogising on here if we'd put in that performance last night.
Some say that is the true mark of champions
Chelsea and ourselves are the best two teams in the league by a country mile, may the best team win
This is it, though, isn't it? Anybody who watched the Villa-Rags, then the Dippers-Arse games this weekend must have been struck by how poor the general level of the PL is this season, apart from ourselves and Chelsea. United, Arsenal, Liverpool: these are supposed to be the among the big boys, the contenders. I thought they were dire.
What there is to choose between ourselves and Chelsea is, I think, the overall depth of the two squads. Let's imagine Chelsea without Costa, Hazard, Terry, for a few weeks, all at the same time. And in between times, Fabregas out for a lengthy spell. How would they do? We can but wonder. This is in effect the situation we've been playing in for about seven weeks. Now I don't wish injuries on them, I want us to take this title fair and square. I just wish to God that we could play with our full, unquestioned first team for most of a season. It hasn't happened since 2011-12 when, unless my memory is playing tricks on me, Vinnie and Sergio in particular had a nearly injury-free season. Anyway, I still think we'll be alright. It'll be very close by the time we go to the Bridge, I'm certain of that, and that will be a
huge game. We can get a point there, definitely, even three, if we're on our game. This is in any case an interesting season. Anyway, lip service to the thread title: bring on the West Brom game. Anybody else finding that having to wait nearly a full week now each time to see our beloved team play leaves them pining the week away? It's good for the injury recovery situation, though, obviously.
