We are going to win the league.

All about how the players react. If that awful decision fires them up there's no reason we can't. Six points is nothing.

I'd normally agree, but as others have said, it's not like chasing the rags in 2011/12 when we only needed that one team to slip up (and we were playing really well back then, by the way). This time we need Arsenal, Spurs and Leicester all to drop the ball, when in reality all of those teams are playing better than us and are ahead of us.

It's not mathematically gone obviously, but realistically I think it is.

Don't underestimate the impact injuries have had on us this season.

So does that mean the players that come in can't put a shift in? Does that mean Yaya can just wander around? Sterling not take a man on? Yeah injuries are shit but our level of performance has been utterly pathetic.

I still have some hope. Vinny coming back is a huge boost, Kun is in great form and when KDB and Nasri come back they'll give us a big lift at exactly the right time. Plus, if any team could go on a 7/8 game winning streak its us. And we've seen how hard it is to get over the line when the pressure's on, so maybe we still have a chance. Not over yet.

Yaya hasn't wandered and Sterling's had a very good first season. Have you considered that these players aren't burnt out due to the injuries which means we've constantly played them when they need rest?

Fuck me Yaya has been a passenger for a huge chunk of the season. Fernandinho isn't burnt out and he has had to cover two players positions? Need to rest are you having me on? a 21 year old who's played 30 odd games needs a rest?

Did players get burned out / exhausted in the 70s and 80s when Division 1 had 4 more games to play than the Prem.

I just don't see it happening. With all the injuries we've had our first team is not really that much better than Arsenal & Spurs. Adding to that we have a manager who seemingly can't get us to perform as well as we could do (even taking into account the depleted squad). Also, Leicester....no distractions, few injuries and playing really well. Think they will probably finish above us.

Eternal optimist but its starting to feel like we wont get over the linemthis year.

Poor form from most of the side at the wrong time and refs like yesterday are going to make it too difficult.

That said there is a long way to go yet and we have done it from far worse positions.

We've got as good a chance as anybody else. We're only 6pts from top spot but fuck knows how. I'm not giving it up yet, it ain't over til it's over. It could all look completely different in a couple of weeks. Keep the faith.

Not sure we will win it now. I dont think Pellers gets this end of season campaign thing, he never has, we need to just ride the season out and make sure top 4. Crappy season all round, whoever wins wouldn't have won it any other season.
