Not a prayer. Forget numbers for a moment and look at how we are actually playing. We are not good enough for whatever reason this season.

Our record against the top 6 stinks. Just not acceptable for a team that was favourite for the league.

In 2011/12 we ended up on 89 points. We were playing very well as we were again in the season where we pipped Liverpool and ended on 86 points. This season we have been shit for most of the season and I cant see what is going to change that. It wont be Pellegrini that's for sure so we need to rely on the players to show that they really want it. Their heads might but I cant see it in their legs. Add to that the injury situation and I can see nothing but more of the same for the next month or so by which time it will be too late.

Signs were a bit better yesterday but only a bit and only after once again going behind.

We have lost 11 home games since the start of season 13/14!...That tells its own story. Teams are no longer expecting a defeat when they play us at our place. 14 points tossed away at home this season with 6 games still to go. IN our first title year we lost 2 in the second 5.

Points against top 6 teams is now 3 out of 24. That is frankly pathetic.

Hard to disagree with any of that. In 2011/12 we were P19, W18, D1, L0 at home. And yesterday we had back to back home defeats against Leicester and Spurs FFS.

Even allowing for the injuries that stat really is pathetic. I hope I am very wrong but I think our season could be over in a few weeks time. Chelsea and Liverpool look to be hitting form at the right time and I think a lot of people who have written off Kiev might get a shock. Like last year we will be left to fight for a top four spot.

We have 33 points left to play for. meaning a max of 80. Only 5 times since it stated has the league been won with 80 or less and that is our max attainable. Realistically even playing our best we'll be doing well to get 70, which will just about get us top 4 I think.
