I'd normally agree, but as others have said, it's not like chasing the rags in 2011/12 when we only needed that one team to slip up (and we were playing really well back then, by the way). This time we need Arsenal, Spurs and Leicester all to drop the ball, when in reality all of those teams are playing better than us and are ahead of us.
It's not mathematically gone obviously, but realistically I think it is.
In 2011/12 we ended up on 89 points. We were playing very well as we were again in the season where we pipped Liverpool and ended on 86 points. This season we have been shit for most of the season and I cant see what is going to change that. It wont be Pellegrini that's for sure so we need to rely on the players to show that they really want it. Their heads might but I cant see it in their legs. Add to that the injury situation and I can see nothing but more of the same for the next month or so by which time it will be too late.
Signs were a bit better yesterday but only a bit and only after once again going behind.
We have lost 11 home games since the start of season 13/14!...That tells its own story. Teams are no longer expecting a defeat when they play us at our place. 14 points tossed away at home this season with 6 games still to go. IN our first title year we lost 2 in the second 5.
Points against top 6 teams is now 3 out of 24. That is frankly pathetic.
