Not all doom and gloom but the CSKA result has made our task a lot more harder to qualify for the next phase.

we can still finish on 11 points, albeit with some hard work to do, which is pretty decent in the champs league groups isnt it?

We can find out in our next game. We do the business at home v CSKA and keep an eye on Bayern v Roma, us and Bayern win the groups in our hands. We beat Roma and whatever happens v Bayern at home will be a bonus.
As someone else said, "Can we win a home game that matters in Europe"

The pressure is on now. It was tonight and we folded from a position where we should never have done so. Given what we've seen from City in Europe, we can't just expect routine wins.

The Bayern game is the one.

Only if we win it. If we lose then we should probably still get a second bite of the cherry against Roma anyway. The draw today is being blown out of proportion and even in the unlikely event we lose to CSKA moscow at home then we'd still have a chance of going through with bayern likely to be already qualified as winners when they play us but either way our fate should be in our own hands come the final game against Roma. Ultimately we got too much wrong again today despite doing so many things right but we'll only get it wrong for so long. Personally I think that the most likely event is that we'll only need a draw when going to Roma in order to qualify

Frankly, couldn't give a shit. Hopefully we finish last, because we really do not need the effing Europa league. There is something more satisfying about winning the League Cup, or F.A. Cup, because it doesn't involve having to cheat.

We're playing in the toughest group with Bayern Munich who are either the best or 2nd best side in Europe. Too much arrogance amongst City fans who think we just have to turn up to win. No this is the toughest competition. We have to raise our game

Annoying me the amount of City fans who take this competition for granted and want to throw the towel in. We've waited a lifetime for these European nights like this and we're prepared to give it up so easily?
great post and totally agree

If someone puts a hurdle in your path do you bottle it and run away screaming, or do you psyche yourself up and make sure you clear it

well said that man really could'nt give a fuck about CL, corrupt competition for corrupt clubs and oficials. Not making this an excuse for our abject second half performance. Really don't give a fuck.

if both we and Roma had won tonight we would have been in a worse qualifying position - look on the bright side

Great point that and people wouldn't be half as negative if that had happened. We panned them first half and we'll beat them at home and be ahead of both cska and moscow after the next game. Hopefully a win against cska at home can get a bit of momentum going

Bayern game is a bonus. All we need is Bayern to beat Roma and win our two games, it is as straight-forward as that and I will be gutted and shitting it if we are relying on a result v Bayern.

Utd cheating for years in the Premiership culminated in the greatest moment in the history of football when Aguero fired City to the Premiership title.

We didn't give up then so there's no hope of any city fan doing so now
