If we finish more than 9pts behind them this season, is that progress?

We virtually finished 2nd last season (only missed out on GD).

We will have more points this season and a higher finish. Yes I would say that's progress.

But no FA cup?

Absolutely not - hope the owners change things because Mancini wont change a fookin thing

Closer to the top with no cup? That's a wash to me.

First half of the season we looked to make huge progress. Now I'm not sure, we were mentally tougher at the end of last season.

You cannot judge the improvement of a side on winning cups as a large element of luck and good kind draws can influence that. Birmingham won a trophy the year they got relegated would anyone consider that progress.

We are a much better team and will achieve a lot more points than last year. Further progress and tremendous performances along the way

True. The FA cup win was good to win in order to get that winning mentality that we need. You can't deny there has been progress made. I understand the frustration from being first all season it does seem a backwards step but I think we a more equipped to win bigger and better things than we were last season.
